DO I NEED TO PREORDER

Each cake is made when it is ordered so they do need to be ordered a head of time. If possible 48 hours is always best but if its less than that see our order timeline with additional details. If you are unsure always call us. We will do our best to make it work.

We also have 2 flavors of cupcakes, baked treats, toys and a treat bar in store! You can come by anytime to pick these up without an order!

ARE THESE DOG CAKES AND TREATS HEALTHY FOR MY DOG?

All the ingredients in Dela’s Cakes and Treats for dogs are made with ingredients safe for dogs to eat. They should be served as treats and are not intended to be a meal replacement. Keep in mind that just like their humans some dogs may have sensitivities to certain things. That is why we offer a completely customizable cake experience. We have grain free options and can accommodate most requests. Our recipes are designed with your pups health and taste in mind. Oil is good for their coat. Sweet potatoes are great for digestive health because they’re high in dietary fiber. They’re also low in fat and contain vitamin B6, vitamin C, manganese and beta-carotene. Bananas are a good source of potassium, manganese, vitamin B6, vitamin C, fiber, biotin and copper. Apples are a good source of fiber as well as vitamin A and C. Peanut butter offers great healthy fat and protein. We do our best to make fun treats with purposeful ingredients.

HOW LONG WILL THESE STAY FRESH?

We have a variety of freshness times based on the treats you select. Things like bake time, storage and ingredients will affect those times. Here are some guidelines and suggestions:

Our Gourmet Bakery Teats from our bakery case are best refrigerated for a week or frozen for a month.

Our Bakery Treats from our dry case are best left out for 1 month. They can be frozen however the icings/toppings may crack.

Hard baked treats from our treat bar have a 18 month shelf life.

For our Celebration Cakes, we suggest picking up your cake the day you plan on using it. If that is not an option you can also wrap the bakery box in plastic wrap to keep it fresh for a day or 2. Since our frosting is low in fat (better for pups) it can dry our easier. Once they are cut keep in a container in the fridge for 3 days or the freezer 1 month.

Any cupcakes not used in 2 days should be put in a container. They will stay fresh for 3 days, you can also freeze them for 1 month

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I ORDER A CAKE?

We recommend ordering as far in advance as you can, at a minimum 24 hours before you plan on picking up the cake. If you are ordering in less time than that see our Order Timeline or just give us a call first. We also recommend you picking up the cake on the day you plan to use it if possible. Our frosting has very little fat which is good for pups but can cause the edges to crack a little if left in the open air. 

CAN I ORDER A CUSTOM DESIGN OR FLAVOR?

Yes! At Dela’s we are all about making your dog bakery experience as much like the human bakery experience as we can. We offer a completely custom cake ordering process. You choose the style, base, fruit, frosting and colors you want. If you have something in mind that you don’t see listed just call us and we will do our best to accommodate any request.

DO YOU HAVE ITEMS READY IN STORE?

Yes we do! The cakes are custom order only. We do however have cupcakes and treats available in our bakery case and treat bar every day.

HOW MUCH SHOULD MY PUP EAT?

Depends on the size of your dog and what feeding habits they are used to. Check out our Serving Size page for details.
